Young Money emcee Drake has once again found a way to end up in the news for his concert behavior.
As a part of his set Drake chose one lucky female fan to join him on stage as he romanced her in front of the crowd.
One lucky fan he brought onstage during his July 16th concert in Ottawa, Canada may have thought she hit the jackpot, but ultimately ended up dissed.
Super groupie Kat Stacks decided to talk to fans about why she is no video vixen and how she gets paid for what she does.
In an interview with VladTV.com, Stacks states that she never intended for her sexual escapades to make her famous.
“I just wanted to put some n**gas on blast,” Kat Stacks said. “I never thought that by blogging on Twitter that people would react like this.”
When asked about people comparing her to Karrine Steffans, Kat Stacks simply states:
“I mean she didn’t have as much scoop as I did, I gave out n**gas numbers and addresses. She’s just known as superhead, but I’m Kat Stacks, my name is a brand.”
In addition to being a brand, Kat Stacks let’s fans know that she is no longer a prostitute.
“Back in the day I used to go home with ballers if the bread was right,” Kat Stacks revealed.“But now I get paid $2500 for walking through the club, so I don’t have to prostitute anymore.”
Young Jeezy’s highly anticipated Thug Motivation 103 album has been pushed back for a third time.
As previously reported Jeezy was scheduled to release TM103 on June 22, a few short weeks after his Trap Or Die II mixtape was released.
Following that the album was scheduled to drop August 31 but will now will not hit stores until September 28.
According to Jeezy the ongoing delay is because he didn’t want to rush the project and instead took his time working on his fourth major studio LP.
Now on a promo trail for the project, Jeezy has released his first single from the album titled “Jizzle.”
The track features Lil Jon and producer Shawty Redd who is facing a murder charge for the shooting death of a man at his Atlanta home.
Ice-T has been arrested after driving without a seatbelt and having a suspended license.
It seems that one by one each veteran West Coast rapper is being arrested. First it was Too Short last week and now we have Ice-T.
According to TMZ.com, Ice was allegedly driving on a suspended license, pulled over for driving without a seat belt and taken into custody.
Ice was last heard through a tweet where he said that he and his wife Coco were taking their dog to the vet.
The Law and Order actor was booked at the 10th Precinct in Chelsea and since has been released.
BET reality star Toya Carter dropped a bomb on fans when she revealed that her BET reality show with BFF and T.I.’s fiancé Tinywould not be returning for a third season.
In an interview with Msdramatv.com, Toya revealed that the decision to end the show after two seasons was mostly due to situations surrounding Tiny.
“I am sad that we won’t be back, but I understand why she made the decision,” Toya said. “She has her singing career, the kids’ group and a wedding so as a friend I understand her need for privacy.”
Toya did reveal that although there will no longer be a “Tiny &Toya” show, Toya will be starring in a spin off show starring her and her family.
“I did land a spin off show, based on me and my family,” Toya states. “It’s called ‘Toya’s Family Affair’ and Tiny will definitely be making some appearances.”
In addition to discussing her career plans, Toya talked about her relationship with Lil’ Wayne’s other baby mama’s, including actress Lauren London.
“We all get together and we meet up,” Toya said. “We want to make sure that the kids are around each other and make sure that they know who their brothers and sisters are.”
It seems like Drake is serious about returning to his first love, acting.
In an interview with Papers magazine, Drake revealed his dream role and how he is preparing for it right now, just in case.
“I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could play him. That’s the goal [laughs],” Drake said. “I watch all the addresses. Anytime I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel; I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions.”
In addition to talking about his dream role, Drake discusses why he is not going to just take any role.
“Slowly but surely. I’m not in the study mode because nobody’s called me about anything, but I just pay attention so when the day comes I’m not scrambling to learn how to speak like him. I want to be involved in great film projects. I don’t want to do the basketball movie that everyone does. I don’t want to do the typical Black film that everyone expects. I think that I have enough experience to actually be involved in a real meaty [role].”
Floyd Mayweather may be the light middleweight champion, but in regards to the highly anticipated fight against Manny Pacquiao,it seems that Mayweather is now the one dragging his feet.
According to published reports, Mayweather has let the July 16thdeadline come and go after taunting Pacquiao about not submitting to a steroid drug testing for over a month. Manny Pacqiuiao has agreed and now Mayweather has become something he rarely is….silent.
Many are stating that Mayweather hasn’t agreed to fight Pacquiao for fear of losing his coveted undefeated record, either way ESPN correspondent Mike Wilborn states that the lack of communication is “cowardly.”
“I can’t think of any other reason other than he doesn’t want to mess up his record,” Wilborn stated during the broadcast of ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption. “Regardless, he’s a coward, because he is a professional fighter, so when a fight comes your way you take it regardless of the anticipated outcome.”
Mayweather and his camp state that the lack of response is not from fear but more of choosing the right time.
“I’m not interested in rushing to do anything,” Mayweather said in an interview with the Associated Press. “I’m not really thinking about boxing right now, I’m just relaxing. I fought about 60 days ago, so I’m just enjoying myself, enjoying life, enjoying my family and enjoying my vacation.”
In Mayweather’s selective appearances since Pacquiao’s decision to submit to steroid testing, he has taken the opportunity to speak to press, just not about boxing.
According to the AP, Mayweather happily fielded questions about the NBA, but when talk turned to boxing — of course, with Pacquiao being the main topic — he simply wouldn’t respond.
Early last week, Pacquiao’s camp set a deadline for Mayweather for a decision on whether he and the Filipino boxing star would meet in November for their highly anticipated mega-fight for midnight on July 17. Pac-Man’s promoter Bob Arum revealed, via a live phone conference, that they hadn’t heard anything from Mayweather’s camp, despite months of negotiations.
Although Arum made it clear that Mayweather’s lack of communication wasn’t an absolute deal breaker, he said Pacquiao plans to move on and begin talks to face either Miguel Cotto or Antonio Margarito.
Although Arum has never spoken to Mayweather directly, he believes Mayweather may be reluctant to fight this year because of the legal woes of Roger Mayweather, his uncle and longtime trainer.
According to published reports, Roger Mayweather is scheduled to stand trial in Las Vegas next month on assault charges stemming from an altercation last year with a female boxer.
No word on whether the charges will result in incarceration or if the ending criminal proceedings play a role in Mayweather’s lack of interest in the bout, but many are wishing the fighter would hurry up and make a decision.
As for Pacquiao, his camp states that regardless of if he is fighting Mayweather or not, a fight will happen on November 13th.
Snoop Dogg’s clothing line is the latest to feel the strain of the ailing economy.
“Rich And Infamous”, a clothing line Snoop debuted in 2008 at the famed Las Vegas Magic fashion tradeshow is being shut down .
The line featured graphic t-shirts, hats and coats and was said to pay homage to greats like Muhammad Ali, Jimi Hendrix, and Paul Newman.
